The basis of computer-aided manufacturing is the design of components with CAD. In the case of castings, the component geometry is determined taking into account the material properties and the manufacturing constraints. Here, the "finishing touches" are made during the development phase at Olsberg.

Solidification simulation and feeder calculation (dimensioning and positioning) are used in part for casting optimization, i.e. minimized material usage with the greatest possible strength and stiffness of the component as well as the lowest possible scrap.

The production of high quality models from

takes place with external Olsberg partners.

At the customer's request, the castings are partially or fully machined. This is done partly in-house or with external partners.

Olsberg offers the following surface treatments for the castings:

• Priming
• Painting (with external partners)

Priming takes place in our Brilon plant.

Olsberg offers the customer logistics partnerships up to just-in-time deliveries.
